A Gift That Keeps on Giving

The number one comment I hear when we tell people we've moved downtown goes something like this: "We could never do it - we have too much stuff." For us, moving downtown was a transitional process.  From our small college apartment in Canyon to two acres, a horse and a barn, then gradually pared down again all the way to a downtown apartment in the heart of the Texas capital (wow!), in many ways, we've come full circle. All three of our kids are minimalists.  No wonder - many millenials grew up with packed toy boxes

There’s No Coffee in the Bible, but There’s Plenty of It at Church (Announcing my First Giveaway!)

I Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." There's no coffee in the Bible. Besides water and wine, I have no idea what the women served their guests to drink.  But I do know this: While coffee is nowhere to be found in the Bible, there's plenty of it at church. I don't know what it is about coffee at church, but I think I listen better when I have a cup in my hand.  I really do. Insta is the New Instagram

In the building where I work, there are two entire floors dedicated to an upstart business which employs only a certain type of people.  They're young and eager, they arrive each morning carrying an iced latte, and they wear super cute wedges.  Sometimes they have wet hair, and the girls never wear much makeup.  They are treated to catered lunches and Friday concerts right there in their office. They're cheerful, will speak when spoken to, and most of the time let the ladies go first. They are Millennials ....and I love 'em to
